Peter Barrett joins Genworth Financial

Ex-Charcol managing director Peter Barrett has joined Genworth Financial as senior vice president.

Barrett previously held senior management roles with Bradford and Bingley, Goldfish and GE Life.

Genworth president of international business in Europe and Canada Bob Brannock says: “The aim is to build upon our leadership position in other products lines across Europe, where we have strong distribution partnerships and a reputation for best in class service.

“Peter brings considerable local knowledge that will allow us to leverage our retirement income and wealth management expertise in markets outside of the United States. We understand that each market is different and won’t just be exporting existing products into new markets.”
