People on the move – Mortgages

Richard Farr has been appointed as director at the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries. Farr was head of marketing comm-unications at Portman Building Society. He will report directly to AMI director general Chris Cummings.

Edeus has appointed former UCB head of sales and business development Gary Webster as director of distribution. At UCB, Webster was responsible for driving all business development activity, including sales, marketing, public relations, product development and pricing.

GMAC-RFC has confirmed that managing director of operations Barry Searle has left the firm. David Botting has replaced Searle, with Chris Kujawa promoted as director of human resources. Craig Beresford has been appointed to the newly created position of trading director and Stephen Hynes will take on the new role of structured finance director.

David Noseley has joined Platform as a business devel-opment manager. He will take responsibility for building and developing relationships with Platform’s packaged partners in the Midlands and South-west.

Royal Bank of Scotland Intermediary Partners has recruited Melanie Buckingham to head up sales for The One Account. Buckingham worked for TietoEnator, an IT services company, where she mana-ged accounts in the banking and insurance sector.

Legal & General has appointed Ben Thompson to the position of mortgages director, with resp-onsibility for managing Legal & General’s Mortgage Club. Thompson was at Paymentshield, where he ran its mortgage club.
