People on the move: Investment

FourWinds Capital Management, the alternative investment manager, has appointed of Lydia Whyatt as managing director in the environment group. Prior to joining the firm, Whyatt spent four years as managing director at Foursome Investments. In her new role, she will focus on deal execution and implementation and will be based in the London office.

Former head of credit research Africa at Renaissance Capital John Bates has joined specialist asset manager Silk Invest as head of fixed income.

Prior to joining Renaissance, Bates was a senior emerging market credit analyst at ABN Amro in London and West LB. He will be responsible for spearheading the firm’s move into the frontier fixed income space.

Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Kevin Carter as a non-executive director. Carter joins from JP Morgan Chase, where he held the position of managing director for the Europe Middle East and Africa global pensions advisory business. He previously spent five years at Watson Wyatt, latterly as head of investment consulting.

LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Insa von Jürgensonn as a regional director and head of portfolio management for Northern Europe.

Von Jürgensonn will be based in LaSalle’s Munich office and will be responsible for managing all assets in Northern Europe as well as managing LaSalle’s german retail venture and german income and growth fund.

She joins the firm from Morgan Stanley Bank in Frankfurt, where she was vice-president for real estate asset management.
