Teahan, who has run the group’s £228m income maximiser since April 2008, is leaving the industry to pursue other opportunities.

Ted Scott has returned to F&C but will no longer be managing money for the firm. Scott, who has been away due to illness, will be responsible for macroeconomic analysis and advice on market strategy across the UK equities desk. Taylor Young Investment Management has appointed Efi Ontopoulou as head of fixed income. Ontopoulou worked at Alpha Trust, where she was senior fund manager responsible for fixed income, managing four bond and money market funds.
