Simcock will be responsible for key accounts nationwide. She joins Axa from Fidelity FundsNetwork, where she was a national accounts manager. Cargill will be responsible for accounts in Scotland and the North of England.

Former IMA deputy chief executive Sheila Nicoll will replace Dan Waters as FSA head of retail policy and conduct.
Nicoll left the IMA in September 2007 to join the FSA as director of the retail firms division. She will retain her current responsibilities until a replacement is found. Before joining the IMA, Nicoll worked at the London Stock Exchange and the Securities Association.
Sesame has appointed John Cowan as an independent non-executive director on its board. Cowan works for National Australia Bank, where he set up Pivotal, a proposition designed to help IFAs move towards a new business structure.
