Pensions Regulator hires NAPF director of policy

The Pensions Regulator has appointed National Association of Pension Funds director of policy Nigel Peaple as head of corporate and international affairs.

Peaple and his team will be responsible for TPR’s media, external stakeholder and EU relations.

Prior to his role at the NAPF, Peaple held policy and public affairs roles across a range of government, EU and industry bodies, including the Association of British Insurers.

Peaple says: “TPR faces a challenging agenda, not only in providing risk-based regulation for the rapidly evolving world of UK pensions but also in preparing for auto-enrolment in 2012 and some important EU initiatives.

“I am looking forward to establishing close and effective working relationships with our key stakeholders and the media.”
