Pegrum quits Cazenove for Soros

Neil Pegrum, manager of the Cazenove UK dynamic fund and two dynamic long/short funds, has left to join Soros Fund Management.

Julie Dean, manager of the Cazenove UK opportunities fund, has taken over the management of the long-only £116m UK dynamic fund.

Paul Marriage, who co-managed the two long/short absolute return funds with Pegrum – absolute UK dynamic and UK dynamic absolute return -has become lead manager of both.

Pegrum joined Cazenove with Marriage from Insight over five years ago, running the UK dynamic fund since launch in September 2004. He worked at M&G for 16 years, where he was head of the smaller companies team and manager of the British opportunities fund.

Pegrum says: “I have had fiveand-a-half enjoyable years at Cazenove Capital, but this was a really interesting opportunity for me to work for a unique organisation.”
