Pegasus announces best results ever

Protection specialist Pegasus saw its total number of policies taken out during 2000 rise by 51 per cent from 16,756 to 25,302, with sums assured breaking the £4bn mark.

The healthcare arm of Scottish Mutual says its success during the year is due to the popularity of the Long Term Care Option and Critical Illness Cover Buyback with IFAs&#39 clients.

Pegasus product development manager Nick Kirwan says: “2000 has been our best year ever in terms of new business volumes.”
