Pearl sponsors after school kids&#39 clubs with £2m

Pearl is using Damon Hill as a figurehead for its £2m sponsorship of a nationwide initiative to provide children with a safe place to go after school.


Pearl says its sponsorship of the national charity Kids&#39 Clubs Network will provide safe after school havens for 1,400 children.


Damon Hill who drives for the Pearl-sponsored Jordan Formula One team launched the scheme with managing director Richard Surface at the Mereway Butterfly Club in Northampton.


Surface says: &#34I know from my visits to customers&#39 homes that balancing work and child care is a big challenge. We see our sponsorship as a way of putting something back into the local communities in which we work.&#34
