Paul McMahon quits Friends Provident for Aegon

Friends Provident managing director of UK corporate Paul McMahon has quit the firm for rival provider Aegon.

McMahon (pictured) has been replaced by former distribution and marketing director Colin Williams. Aegon life and pensions marketing director Andy Marchant has left as a result of the appointment.

McMahon, who is currently on gardening leave, will take up the role of group marketing director at Aegon. He told Money Marketing the firm is pursuing an “exciting agenda”.

Aegon UK chief executive Otto Thoreson says: “Paul has specific skills in the wrap and platform markets which will dovetail well with Aegon’s proposition development.”

  1. Big deal! Just one fat cat going for more money. Hopefully, Aegon will sort out the mess that FSA say they have.

  2. Marvellous appointment,
