Patrick Snowball becomes head of Aviva UK businesses

Patrick Snowball, currently group executive director of general insurance, will become group executive director of Aviva UK and will be responsible for the group’s UK businesses.

This includes Norwich Union Life, Norwich Union Insurance and RAC with the exception of Morley Fund Management. Snowball will also become executive chairman of Norwich Union Life.

Norwich Union Life chief executive Gary Withers, NU general insurance managing director Mark Hodges and RAC managing director Simon Machell will continue in their roles, reporting directly to Snowball.

Philip Scott, currently group executive director, Life International, will become Aviva International group executive director and will be responsible for all of Aviva’s life and long-term savings and general insurance businesses outside the UK. Philip Scott will also continue to be chairman of Morley Fund Management. Andrew Moss will continue in his role as group finance director.


Zurich joins SRB panel
