Pass continues Review services for IFAs

IFA services firm Pension Advisers Support System has announced it will continue to offer its range of services to IFAs for the Pensions and FSAVC reviews through 2002.

Pass offers assistance to IFAs in dealing with the reviews such as advice and loans to cover compensation claims. Since its founding in 1998, it has received 500 loan applications for £53.5m.

Both reviews come to a close next year. IFAs are required to have completed the Pensions Review and 90 per cent of their FSAVC Review cases by June 2002, finishing the FSAVC Review by the end of the year.

Pass chief executive Mark Penton says: “There is still a lot of work to be done during this critical part of the review process and there is still a degree of uncertainty surrounding the impact and scope of the windfalls issue which is currently being looked at by the Regulator and other bodies including ourselves.”
