Partnership offers web service for IFAs

Intelligent Finance is to provide a transactional website service for IFAs in a partnership with My Money Adviser.

The web in a box tool offers consumers online transactions on a range of financial products in a site personalised with the IFA&#39s branding without the need for up-front investment in technology.

Depending on the adviser&#39s regulatory status, the site incorporates a fund supermarket, real-time quotes for general and life insurance, mortgage comparison and quotation and a share dealing service.

It also includes gas and electricity company comparisons and a switching facility, access to all Intelligent Finance products and an endowment trading facility. IFAs earn commission for all products sold through the site and pay a monthly fee for the service.

Intelligent Finance senior manager, e-commerce Mark Curran says: “Used effectively, the internet represents an opportunity where advisers can maintain relationships with their clients while opening up new income streams.

“For those that have taken that step into cyberspace, too often, websites simply provide information on a company and its services but no ability to buy products – effectively operating only as an electronic business card.”

My Money Adviser managing director Ann-Marie Martyn says: “The list of services advisers can offer is growing all the time, from online shares to discounted Isas. Staying ahead of developments and the cost of integrating them is no longer a worry.”
