Page in move to Liontrust

Liontrust Asset Management has appointed former New Star marketing director Rob Page.

Page joins in July as marketing director, with Jonathan Harbottle becoming European sales director.

Page was marketing director at New Star from its launch in 2001 until February this year. He has held similar roles at Barings and Hill Samuel.

Page says: “I chose Liontrust because of its exceptionally strong investment proposition. It is a company with an outstanding core fund offering built on a foundation of carefully tailored and well-articulated investment processes. I was struck by the depth of intellectual thinking of Liontrust’s managers and the company’s refreshing forward-thinking culture.”

Chief executive Nigel Legge says: “We are delighted that Rob is joining us. He has proven experience gained over many years at New Star, Barings and Hill Samuel and he will bring a fresh perspective to our marketing and sales efforts.

“This is the first step in our expansion plans in this area. We envisage strengthening our sales and marketing teams to give us extra distribution in the UK and internationally.”
