Packagers confident about the future, says Rooftop

A huge 95 per cent of mortgage packagers have said they are either confident or very confident about the future of the packaging market.

But lenders going direct to brokers were perceived by 44 per cent of respondents as the biggest potential threat to their business model, second only to technology, according to a survey from Rooftop Mortgages.

Rooftop chief executive Ginny Darrow says: “We are extremely pleased to see such an overwhelming majority of innovative packagers confident about their future. We couldn’t agree more, that is why we have reduced our own panel of packagers to just over 50 who are the right fit for Rooftop to ensure that we can give them the attention and service they deserve.”
