Oxygen breezes into specialist loan sector

A new lender is moving into the UK mortgage market in partnership with specialist lender Mortgages plc.

Oxygen Home Loans is a new trading division of Leicester-based Oxygen Mortgage Group, formerly known as Custom Made Mortgages.

It will focus on specialist product areas such as sub-prime and self-certification and says it will cut its own fee income in order to offer better rates to borrowers.

Oxygen Mortgage Group managing partner David Matthews-Hillyard says: “We are really excited by this launch. The time is right to move our business forward and with regulation just around the corner we feel our proposition is launching at the ideal time. We have always prided ourselves on providing brokers with excellent service and our launch into branded lending can only further enhance our offering.”

Mortgages plc sales and marketing director Peter Beaumont says: “Branded lending works best for companies who have a good service proposition. The team at Oxygen are ideally placed to enter this sector of the market and we are delighted to be their first lending partner.”
