Tony was put forward by his peers to win the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to the Industry award thanks to his commitment to making tax planning and technical support accessible to advisers, providers, platforms and fund groups.
He has been writing for Money Marketing since the magazine was launched over 30 years ago. His columns pre-date the establishment of the Technical Connection business he jointly runs with John Woolley and make him one of the longest serving, if not the longest serving, regular MM contributor.
Tony is a constant feature of adviser panel debates and financial services conferences, providing practical help to advisers struggling to make sense of the latest Government tax policy.
Tony’s esteemed career was capped earlier this year with the acquisition of Technical Connection by St James’s Place, with Tony, John and the technical and consultancy staff staying on as part of the deal.
As well as his technical expertise Tony is well thought of as one of the industry’s “nice guys”, and is therefore thoroughly deserving of this award.
