Orbitex announces fund return for 2000

The Orbitex Exempt Balance Fund made a positive return of 0.9 per cent in 2000, and gained a ranking of 4th out of 67 funds.

Orbitex global chief executive officer for pensions Robin Geffen says: “We remain of the view that it may be appropriate to move into defensive sectors as uncertainty about global growth remains, despite the recent interest rate cut in the US.”
