Opra to answer questions on-line

Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority, is to run its second web-based question time session on April 11.

From April 3, most cases where an employer fails to pay employees&#39 contributions into an occupational pension scheme and failure to provide audited accounts or auditors&#39 statements on time will be treated as civil rather than criminal cases.

This gives Opra the power to impose fines directly on employers or trustees, saving time and upping the number of cases in which it can impose a sanction.

The online session will last from 11am to 12.30pm on April 11 at
