Openwork to buy point of sale platform

Adviser network Openwork has signed a deal with software supplier Distribution Technology to build a front office point of sale platform.

The application will be designed to support the sales process from fact find, needs analysis through to completion of suitability documentation.

Under the deal Distribution Technology will build the platform using the template of its Dynamic Point of Sale application, which launched in May last year.

Openwork chief operating officer Peter Ellen says the automation of its advice process will play a central part in the business’s future success.

He says: “We selected Distribution Technology to partner with us, following a rigorous process that involved Advisers, Sales Managers and Support Centre staff and we are confident that they will prove to be an excellent choice.”

Distribution Technology chief executive Ben Goss says: “We are delighted to have been selected to partner Openwork as the UK’s largest distributor and multi-tie. Openwork has a rich and diverse range of advisers including large numbers of mortgage specialists as well as wealth managers and our selection demonstrates both the breadth of our platform as well as its scalability.”
