Openwork chief exec exits for Old Mutual

Openwork chief executive Mary-Anne McIntyre has left the network to join Old Mutual Wealth.

McIntyre will join Old Mutual as chief distribution officer in September, where she will draw together the firm’s distribution activities, as well as covering product development and marketing.

Openwork managing director Mark Duckworth will assume the role of chief executive with immediate effect.

Openwork chairman Christopher Rodrigues says: “Having performed the role of managing director with distinction over the last three years, Mark was the natural choice for the role of chief executive.

“I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at Openwork to thank Mary-Anne for her hard work and commitment and we wish her all the best for the future.”

  1. And Michelle Andrews does what? Chiefs and Indians??

It is a great shame Mary-Anne has decided to leave. With rumours abound that Zurich’s umbilical cord with Openwork will be cut soon, it is curious she leaves now. I wonder why she didn’t stay to finish the job. Furthermore leaving for Openwork’s archrival Intrinsic’s owner, Old Mutual is even more galling – no doubt Mr Freeman will be puffing out his chest more than usual! Nevertheless she, Mark Duckworth and Philip Martin have done a superb turning the fortunes of Openwork around, which we are all grateful for, I wish her every success,

  3. Chiefs and Indians.

So what is Michelle Andrews supposed to do – knit?
