Openwork appoints new chief executive

Openwork has appointed Mary-Anne McIntyre as its new chief executive, subject to FSA approval.

Mcintyre has been chief operating officer at Openwork since she joined the firm in August 2010 and takes up the role immediately.

She has previously held roles in companies including Amvescap, Perpetual and Deloitte, where she spent 12 years. She was most recently Fidelity International head of customer services and strategic alliances.

It was announced in April that former Openwork chief executive Martin Davis was leaving the firm to become Cofunds chief executive.

Openwork chair Kate Avery says: “Mary-Anne has now been COO at Openwork for almost a year and in that time she has proved that she is an extremely capable and talented individual.”

McIntyre (pictured) says: “Openwork is in the advantageous position of having in place a clearly defined strategy for long-term growth, significant financial support and a gifted executive team.”

She has never been an IFA

  2. Charlie – what’s the fact she’s never been an IFA got to do with anything? Openwork are a multi-tied distribution network.
