Online research panel will voice IFA opinions

Opinium Research, IFA Promotion and Money Marketing are recruiting IFAs to join a new online research panel called Independent Voice.

Advisers will be chosen from Ifap’s database of 16,500 members to participate in the forum, which will conduct regular consumer research to compare and contrast IFA and client opinions.

Independent Voice will run monthly surveys posing identical questions to IFAs and a representative sample of UK adults, as well as ad hoc surveys focusing on IFAs alone. The report data will be made available to Independent Voice members to allow them to gain insight into their peer groupIfap chief executive David Elms says: “This new panel will be second to none in its depth and quality. What is also exciting and interesting is that you can link the views of IFAs and consumers to highlight a balance of opinion.”

Opinium director Dan Foreman adds: “This link-up is a unique opportunity for us. IFAs are at the coalface of the financial services industry, dealing with both providers and consumers. Their insight is invaluable when it comes to products and targeting.

“We believe that Independent Voice will be different to other research ventures out there, not just through our tandem consumer research, but also by getting IFAs involved in debate and discussion and by creating a forum whereby those that take part gain access to added-value information and opinion.”
