OMGI snaps up Invesco AM’s Nash for head of global bonds

Old Mutual Global Investors has appointed Invesco Asset Management’s Mark Nash as head of global bonds and manager of the Old Mutual Global Strategic Bond fund.

Nash, who was head of global multi-sector portfolio management at Invesco AM, will report to OMGI head of fixed income Christine Johnson.

Nash will become lead manager of the £237.5m Old Mutual Global Strategic Bond fund, taking over from Johnson and head of emerging market debt John Peta.

He will be joined by Nick Wall, who also joins from Invesco AM as portfolio manager, and will work Global Strategic Bond fund

In the new role, Nash will lead the fixed income team focusing on developed-market government bonds, which is a new area of specialism within the team.

Following the management change, the strategy and objective of the fund will remain the same, OMGI says.

Johnson says: “Mark and Nick bring with them a vast amount of knowledge and experience and are extremely well thought of in the industry. Through their management of the Old Mutual Global Strategic Bond Fund they will aim to deliver consistent returns for clients by rotating between the different fixed income assets.”
