Old Mutual Wealth head of protection Ian Jefferies is to leave the provider, Money Marketing can reveal.

Old Mutual says Jefferies is leaving to pursue an alternative opportunity. The provider says it is in the process of recruiting for a replacement.

Jefferies joined Old Mutual in March 2012, and was previously head of sales and marketing at Ageas Protect.

A spokesman for Old Mutual says: “Ian Jefferies is leaving Old Mutual Wealth to pursue a new opportunity in the market.

“We thank him for his contribution to the business and wish him well for the future. We are committed to providing the best specialist sales team in the market to advisers and we are already recruiting for a replacement.”
