The pace of UK house price inflation has accelerated, according to Government figures out today.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister has revealed that house price inflation in November 2005 stood at 2.5 per cent. This is up from 1.8 per cent during the previous month.
The UK annual house price inflation rate for the 3 months to November 2005 was 2.5 per cent and 1.2 per cent in London.
In the capital, annual house prices rose 2.2 per cent in November, up from a depreciation of 0.5 per cent in October.
The average price of a house in the UK in November stood at 186,431, up from 185,398 in October.
However, the UK house price inflation rate for first time buyers fell from 4.7 per cent in 4.3 per cent over the same period.
