OBSR hands out new ratings

OBSR has given A-ratings to funds from Allianz, Franklin Templeton and Schroders.

Mark Mobius was handed the rating on his Templeton Emerging Markets Smaller Companies fund based on the group’s long-term track record of investing in emerging markets.

Another emerging markets fund, Allianz RCM Bric Stars, has received an A-rating.

According to a release: “OBSR believes this to be a solid proposition for investors seeking exposure to the Bric markets, and given OBSR’s conviction in the manager and his approach, it believes the fund now warrants inclusion in the [ratings] service.”

Schroder Income Maximiser also received the rating.
