Nucleus has appointed Helm Godfrey and Taxbriefs chairman Danby Bloch as a non-executive director.
Taxbriefs produces many of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s examination learning texts and Bloch is a regular author, lecturer and trainer on tax and financial planning. He has also been a member of the Financial Services Skills Council group working on drafting the new QCF level four qualification standards for advisers.
Bloch is a patron of the Friends of the Pitt Rivers Mus-eum, Oxford, pro-chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, which awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2004, and recently became the chair of the board of the Oxford Playhouse.
Nucleus chief executive David Ferguson says: “Over a period of more than 30 years, Danby has established himself as one of the industry’s leading thinkers and will be of tremendous value to the future development and growth of the business.”
Bloch says: “Following the FSA’s platform paper, Nucleus is one of the very few platforms that looks as though it will be compliant with the regulator’s new vision of what platforms should look like.”
