Nucleus adds P-Solve funds of hedge funds

Nucleus Financial has made London investment boutique P-Solve Alternative Investments’ funds of hedge funds available to IFAs using its platform.

P-Solve is the first fund of hedge funds manager accessible through the Nucleus platform. The funds are all Irish stock exchange-listed funds authorised as retail funds by the Irish regulator.

Nucleus chief executive David Ferguson says: “The addition of this fund has been driven by the needs of IFAs using the Nucleus platform and is designed to meet their clients’ requirements.”

P-Solve sales director Polly Smith says: “We have experienced increasing demand for our hedge fund of fund products from the UK IFA market and this association with Nucleus makes our funds more accessible for many IFAs. Our funds have performed exceptionally well in the last 12 months which is driving interest from the UK wealth management industry and we are continuing to look at ways to make our products more accessible to them.”

Nucleus has been building its team after signing up its 21st IFA firm last month.

Bernard Donnelly will take on the newly created role of operations manager. He was head of business performance at Royal Bank of Scotland. Mairi Cameron and James Desmond have also joined as client relations managers from Aegon Standard Life.
