NU new stakeholder ads aim to reach individuals

Norwich Union is running the second stage of its stakeholder advertising campaign with a £3m spend on poster and press ads.

This brings NU&#39s spending on stakeholder advertising this year to £10m, including a television campaign which ran in May.

The poster ads carry the same theme as the TV campaign and will appear on billboards, bus shelters and in the national press. The ads will appear from the end of August.

NU remains one of a handful of players advertising stakeholder. Although the campaign ties in with the run up to the October employer deadline, NU also wants the ads to raise awareness in the individual market.

The new ads feature characters with a range of ages and occupations and encourage people to act now rather than later with their pension provision.

NU spokesman James Evans says: “The new round of advertising will go out in the run-up to the October deadline, but is really a further backing up of our plans to corner the individual stakeholder market. This is stepping up the campaign to raise awareness with individuals.”
