NU launches offshore investment bond

Norwich Union has launched a new open architecture offshore investment bond offering over 1500 funds pre-approved by NU International.
Premier Portfolio has been designed by NUs Dublin-based subsidiary and has a choice of charging structures. The provider says virtually any investment fund can be added to the bond.
NU says the bond can also be used to reduce liabilities to inheritance tax when written under trust using its Estate Protection Plan solution.
NUI chief executive Clive Witter says: The launch of Premier Portfolio opens a new market for us. We recognise that many of todays investors need a wide choice of funds when it comes to making investment decisions. So were delighted to have answered the needs of investors and their advisers, by giving them a product which offers almost any fund they want.
