NU extends money back guarantee

Norwich Union has extended its five year money back guarantee on with profit fund investments.
The life insurere has opened up the guarantee to all new investments in the portfolio investment bond.
The offer from NU was orginally meant to close on December 31, 2004, but will now be extended to February 6, 2005.
The guarantee has been extended because NU claims it has proved popular with IFAs and customers and demand for guarantees remains strong.



Royal Liver sales manager leaves

Royal Liver sales manager Chris Large has been sacked after making derogatory comments to the sales team about the mutual’s policyholders. Large, who worked in the Liverpool salesforce, said the 1.4million policyholders were too lazy to access life insurance via the internet.
