NU expands pensions fund portfolio

Norwich Union has added 18 funds to its personal and group pensions.

New and existing customers will be able to invest in a larger number of funds from Barclays Global Investor, Gartmore, Schroders, Investec, Jupiter and Norwich Union.
Norwich Union head of pensions Iain Oliver says: We are especially excited by the addition of the NUs Manager of Manager funds which have performed well since they launched in 2005.
The addition of a range of passive finds from BGI at no extra cost will be of significant value to trustees and employees looking for inexpensive access to particular investment sectors.


Montpelier raises Millfield stake

Montpelier has increased its shareholding in Millfield from 10 per cent to 14.76 per cent, making it the second-biggest shareholder behind Amvescap with 21.5 per cent.
