NPI to sponsor Cardiff 10k road race

NPI is challenging people to go on the run and help raise money for kidney research.


The pension specialist which has offices in Cardiff and Tunbridge Wells is urging athletes to compete in the NPI/Kidney Research Unit Foundation 10 kilometre race in Cardiff on September 5.


All the monies raised will be donated to the KFU for Wales Foundation in Cardiff to fund vital renal research.


The annual event is expected to attract over 2,000 runners. Up for grabs is £3,000 in prize money which will be divided equally between the best male, female, team and veteran athletes.


The first 2,500 runners to sign up for the event will also receive a free commemorative t-shirt.


For the children and less serious runner, there is a 2km fun run which take place before the main event.


NPI spokesman Peter Nelson says: &#34We are delighted to be sponsoring this years race. The event is an important one for Cardiff especially as the race will finish in the new Millennium Stadium.


&#34As one of Cardiff&#39s biggest employers we are hoping to encourage as many members of our staff and friends and family to take part.&#34
