N&P goes live on Mortgage Brain

Norwich & Peterborough Building Society is the first non-consortium member to go live on Mortgage Brain, accepting mortgage applications electronically from intermediaries.

Previously only equity shareholders – Nationwide, Alliance & Leicester, RBS, NatWest, Northern Rock and C&G – were operational through Mortgage Brain. N&P, which signed up to the common trading platform in June, says it expects using Mortgage Brain to knock several days off mortgage application processing.

Mortgage Brain sales and managing director Mike Green says: “The fact that N&P has joined the common trading platform reinforces that the initiative is open to everyone.”
