Norwich Union International announces first year results

Norwich Union International, CGNU&#39s Dublin-based offshore life and investment arm, is reporting single premium sales of £105m to December 31, 2000, since its launch on March 6, 2000.

NUIL will launch 20 new funds in the UK on March 6, and proposes to expand its business in the UK, Italy, Spain and Ireland in 2001.

NUIL chief executive Jon Herbert says: “The offshore market is still relatively young but has developed at a fast pace over the last 10 years. Offshore is no longer a niche market and NUIL are in a strong position to capitalise on the demand.”
