Northgate embraces Personal Group’s face-to-face approach

The Darlington-based rental company was established in 1981 and has seen significant expansion in recent years. Personal Group’s, Just For You programme, rolled out on 27 April, offers a range of retail and lifestyle discounts as well as Personal Group’s own cash plans.

Northgate wanted to enhance its benefit offering for its employees to increase employee engagement and improve employee retention through becoming a more attractive employer. Northgate researched various options within the employee benefits market, but it was Personal Group’s face-to-face approach that struck a chord.

Hayley Burn, HR business partner at Northgate, said: “The face-to-face delivery was important for us and really appealed when we were looking for suppliers. A lot of our colleagues don’t have access to computers at work so we wanted to make sure they could access the benefits by phone if they wanted to. The initial response has been good and we’ve had some great feedback. We’ve had more than 2,000 clicks and our employees have saved £6,500 already.”
