Northern Rock named best overall lender

Northern Rock was named best overall lender at Legal & General&#39s Mortgage Club awards, held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Friday.

The awards were voted for by mortgage brokers who are members of the L&G Mortgage Club. Lenders were rated against a series of criteria including products, service, sales and marketing as well as their ebusiness capability. Halifax came in second place with Accord Mortgages third.
