Norrie Henderson becomes chairman of CML Scotland

Norrie Henderson, Head of Mortgages at Lloyds TSB Scotland, today becomes chairman of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Scotland arm.

He takes over the role at CML Scotland’s annual lunch, being held today, March 4th in Edinburgh.

Henderson has worked for Lloyds TSB Scotland in a variety of different roles for 33 years.

Norrie Henderson says: “Mortgage lenders tend to be at the forefront of housing market innovations. I want to ensure that CML Scotland continues to have an active engagement with the Scottish Executive and with all the relevant professional bodies, to ensure that we continue to improve and refine the Scottish housing market. Innovations such as the recent decision to introduce a variant of the homebuy scheme to improve the supply of low-cost home-ownership are very helpful, and we urge its early implementation. We look forward to helping shape the future of Scotland’s housing for the better over the coming year.”
