No delay, says m-link, after crash clash

Misys denies its m-link system is failing IFA users despite industry claims that the system is causing problems and crashed last week.

M-link&#39s denial is in response to industry specul-ation that its system, designed for comparative quotes, company-specific quotes and electronic transactions, is already failing to meet IFA expectations.

Industry insiders claim users are experiencing practical difficulties and Misys is considering delaying its main launch of the system for up to four weeks, during which time it plans to overcome the difficulties.

But Misys denies it has considered delaying the launch, claiming m-link is on schedule and that the system is work-ing well.

Misys confirms m-link did experience difficulties on June 21 when it crashed due to a power failure but says this was acceptable to IFAs as it happened for a few minutes during the night.

Misys Interactive Trading editor-in-chief Paul Charles says: “Misys is not out of action and is running to schedule.

“We are not expecting delays to occur with the system and I can categorically say that the system is not going down.”
