H2B partners Sue Hayward, Gerry Barwell and Penny Horner will join NMG directors Jonathan Gunby and David Burns in steering the new business.
The Association of Independent Financial Advisers last month appointed NMG to deliver its business transition programme, developed to help firms meet the demands of the retail distribution review.
The firms say the business will provide a full qualitative and quantitative capability and established programmes including IFA Census and Thinking Money will continue to run.
NMG director David Burns says: “We are delighted that the H2B team are joining forces with NMG and are very excited about the opportunities this will bring. We aim to bring the highest level of knowledge and expertise to clients in the financial services world and are certain that our combined skills will bring great benefits to clients.”
H2B partner Gerry Barwell adds: “In bringing together the senior teams of H2B and NMG the new business will provide a fresh and distinctive full service approach to research and strategy consulting. We’re all passionate about this industry and looking forward to working together.”
