Nick Conyers retires after 21 years at Pearson Jones

Pearson Jones consultant Nick Conyers is retiring from the industry after a career spanning 27 years.

The 51-year-old, a director of the national IFA firm, will leave in mid-January and says he plans to take some time off before deciding on his future. But he is adamant his days in financial services are over saying he is tired of the regula- tory difficulties facing IFAs.

Conyers has been at Pearson Jones for the past 21 years after starting his career at Towry Law.

Conyers says: “I am taking what I guess you could call a very early retirement. Some people refer to our industry as like swimming through treacle and I can sometimes see what they mean. I am looking forward to a nice break and will then start to look at my options.”

Managing director Tim Johnson says: “There is always a hole when someone of experience leaves and Nick has been with us for 21 years.”
