Dick becomes IFP VP
Forty Two Wealth Management partner Alan Dick has been voted in as vice president of the Institute of Financial Planning. Dick will take over from Dunham Financial Services managing director Rebecca Taylor when she takes over as president in October.

Butler promoted at Foster Denovo
National IFA Foster Denovo has appointed Joanna Butler to the newly created role of head of marketing. The internal promotion sees Butler move from Foster’s employee benefits arm, Secondsight, where she was marketing director for five years.
A former Honister adviser has been jailed for two years and nine months at Winchester Crown Court for a £380,000 fraud. The Salisbury Journal reports that former Honister Partners adviser Angus McClymont pleaded guilty to 14 counts of fraud by abuse of position between 2008 and 2011.
Nationwide ups rates
Nationwide is increasing its new customer fixed rates by 0.3 per cent and tracker rates by 0.2 per cent. Existing customers moving home or taking further borrowing will be priced 0.1 per cent below the new rates.
