New Star hires ex-FSA staffer as product head

New Star Asset Management has appointed Dan Ford as the firm’s director of product development.

With over eight years experience of collective investments, Ford will be tasked with developing New Star’s UK and international offering.

Ford was previously responsible for authorisation of collective investment schemes at the FSA. He will report to New Star’s managing director of retail business development Stewart Cazier.

Cazier says: “I am delighted that Dan has chosen to join New Star. He enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry and his extensive experience will be invaluable in developing further New Star’s retail investment products.”
