New Star appoints legal director

New Star Asset Management is appointing Simon Burgess as legal director.

Burgess joins New Star from Clifford Chance where he was senior corporate and mergers and acquisitions partner. Burgess joined Clifford Chance in 1970 and became a partner in 1976.

New Star chairman John Duffield says: “Simon&#39s appointment is excellent for New Star. He is bringing a wealth of corporate experience to the company and will be a tremendous asset to us.”
