New FPP Asia hedge fund

Fabien Pictet & Partners has announced the creation of the FPP golden Asia fund, an Asia ex-Japan hedge fund with seed assets from Jade Absolute Fund Managers.

The fund will be managed by Joon Ho Byun, who is currently a co-manager of the FPP three kingdoms Korea fund.

Byun will aim to achieve absolute return through investing in Asian equities and fixed income.

The fund will join FPP’s other hedge funds, including the FPP emerging hedge fund, global emerging market debt hedge fund, seven seas emerging Europe and Middle East fund and the Korea and Taiwan single country funds.

Byun says: “We believe that Asia will continue to be a source of growth as well as returns for the foreseeable future and should form an integral part of a diversified portfolio for institutional investors and high net worth individuals alike.”
