Winterthur Life has announced Chris Schnor is to become chairman of Winterthur UK Financial Services Limited. Schnor, 43, was previously executive board member and regional chief executive of Winterthur's Market Unit Other Europe and Asia, Schnor, 43, originally joined the Winterthur Group in 1990 as technical director in the European division in Switzerland. He will now sit on the Winterthur Group board and reports directly to the group chief executive. He will be responsible for life and pensions and general insurance in Italy, Belgium, Spain and Central and Eastern Europe and life and pensions in the UK.
