The UK paraplanner resource service has launched the Paraplanner of The Year and Rising Star awards in association with the Institute of Financial Planning to increase awareness of the importance of paraplanning in the financial planning process.
The awards are based on paraplanners answering 20 technical questions and writing a short piece about their role as a paraplanner.
The Paraplanner.com co-founder Richard Allum says: “This award will give paraplanners the chance to increase their profile and show the industry what they can do. This is similar to the Australian award and will soon become the ultimate recognition of a paraplanner’s excellence. To be the winner of the first award will be something special.”
Co-founder Martin Vaug- han says: “This is something we have been planning for some time and will increase the industry’s knowledge about the important work that paraplanners do.”
The awards are sponsored by MetLife, Winterthur Life and Adviser Assist with the technical assessment coming from Wizard Learning.
