Nest has appointed Barnsley LIFT Company chairman Paul Jagger as chair of its employer panel and Intellicomm Solutions executive chairman Museji Takolia to chair its member panel.
The panels will have the job of holding the scheme’s trustee board to account and the two chairmen will be involved in the selection of the first panel members. The maximum number for both panels, including chairs, is 15. Both Jagger and Takolia have significant experience in education, a key focus for Nest.
Jagger was previously a regional director for the TUC, where he developed an education service for members. He has been involved in Government committees on further and higher education and is pro-chancellor and chair of the University of Bradford’s council.
Alongside his role at Intellicom Solutions, Takolia is non-executive chairman of Ofsted. He is also a former senior adviser at the Cabinet Office.
Nest chairman Lawrence Churchill says: “The panels will play a critical role in ensuring Nest works for its members and their employers.”
