Neptune hires ex Barclays md Richard Green

Neptune Investment Management has appointed former Barclays UK managing director Richard Green to the role of corporate development director.

Green will join the Neptune board as an executive director and have significant involvement in the day-to-day running of the business.

Green was instrumental in setting up Barclays Private Bank and will continue as a member of Barclays Wealth’s UK Private Bank advisory board.

Neptune says Green’s appointment highlights the importance the firm is placing on developing this area of the business.

Managing director Robin Geffen says: “Richard is one of the leading private bankers of his generation and his addition to the Neptune team exemplifies our desire to recruit people who are the very best in their field. Richard will not only hold a managerial role within Neptune but his experience will benefit our entire client base as we drive our proposition across a wider range of investors. I am excited to have him join the team to share our boutique vision and to take our business to the next level.”
